About Rebecca | Somatic Sexologist | Women's Sexual Empowerment

Hi! I'm Rebecca. I'm a Somatic Sexologist, Somatic Sex Educator, Sexological Bodyworker and counsellor. I founded Exploring Women’s Sexuality to share knowledge and empower women about their bodies and ways to experience and enjoy a natural, healthy and satisfying sex life free from shame, disconnection and pain. I now share this work with people of all genders.

Over the past 20 years I’ve studied and worked with clients in sacred sexuality, intimacy & sexuality, relationships, counselling, doula services and somatic sex education. I’ve run women’s circles and am passionate about the creativity, healing and nurturing women can bring one another. I love talking about and sharing knowledge on sexuality & intimacy, including the parts usually hidden from others.

I work with individuals of all genders, couples and deliver workshops to women and those who love them. My approach is through counselling, coaching and bodywork to help my clients overcome sexual difficulties and cultivate pleasure. As a former birth doula I understand how birth and motherhood can impact on a woman’s body and sex life.

Exploring Women’s Sexuality is the culmination of a life-long journey, formalised through extensive training and experience assisting other practitioners. My qualifications include a Diploma of Counselling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counselling, Certificate in Embodied Somatic Sexological Bodywork and a Certificate in Somatic Sex Education from the Institute of Somatic Sexology. I've also completed many Tantra trainings including with the Australian School of Tantra, Doula Certification with Australian Doula College, Professional Recovery & Wellness Coach, certified by Calm Lion Training and Certificate IV in Training with MrWed.

I continue to study in the field of sex and relating and am currently undergoing a Graduate Diploma in Somatic Sexology with the Institute of Somatic Sexology.

I'm a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and a committee member of the Somatic Sex Educators' Association of Australasia (SSEAA).

Based in Newcastle, Australia, I work in the Hunter Region, on the Central Coast and beyond via video conferencing.

What I do

I work with individuals, couples and deliver workshops to women (vulva owners) and those who love them. I support clients to feel safe to connect with their body, hear their body's desires, experience and cultivate their sexual energy, build arousal and orgasm. I specialise in learning how to orgasm, increase sensation, access more pleasure, feel comfortable in your body, anatomy education, communication techniques, creating boundaries and consent, body mapping.

My Qualifications

My qualifications include a Diploma of Counselling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counselling, Certificate in Embodied Somatic Sexological Bodywork from the Institute of Somatic Sexology and a Certificate in Somatic Sex Educator from the Institute of Somatic Sexology. I have completed Tantra Goddess Training with the Australian School of Tantra and am a Professional Recovery and Wellness Coach, certified by Calm Lion Training.

I work on cultivating a sexual relationship with yourselves to experience more pleasure whilst learning what to ask a sexual partner for. Sharing ways to build sexual energy, masturbating beyond a quickie or goal-focused outcome and how sexual exploration beyond familiar ways can develop new neural pathways leading to more pleasure and a deeper connection with ourselves and others.
